why ? . . to make little fans ask questions

To make people guess if that’s Grace or Kat? I know, I know. . .

It’s Cat, what’s the question?

No question in my mind. Guess I just wanted to say hi – in any old stupid way I could. Should learn to keep my fingers quiet. ;-)

It’s Cat, what’s the question?” .. since you asked

apparently it was a freshman week concert so your ‘average age is 19′ tweet makes sense
- did most of the crowd show up in time for GPN ?
- what was their response to the band ?
- did some of them seem to be already familiar with GPN ?
- you stopped tweeting the songs so . . full setlist ?
. . and what was “Slide” ? . . (slide guitar for TINN crossed my mind but ….)
- did you stay for We the Kings ? . . (saw impressive YT #s – do you have to be 19 to get why ?)
- did Grace sit in with them ?

Rather like your interesting photo choice . . assume it’s to show how crowded the stage was . . right ?

shutting up now

GPN went on last, not first. A few people left after We The Kings
Response was great – familiarity might hav been lower than average.
Setlist? Who knows – “Slide” was just descriptive.
I watched one We The Kings song and left with an ear rash. Grace sit in with them? Ha.
Weirdest show ever. You could walk to the front row, or not – up to you.

Oh, and just to let you know how “Rock and Roll” I am.

It was about a 1.5 hour drive for me each way – total of 80 miles.

Gas costs = $11
Ticket (comp) – Thank you GPN
Caffeinated Drinks – $5
Total Cost = $16

I found a $20 bill on the floor so – all told – this show was a PROFIT MAKING ADVENTURE.

Glad GPN was the closer . . write up I saw gave me a different impression. I don’t have issues with them opening – usually but . . .
Wait – you made it through a whole WTK song ? . . think 50 seconds was the most I lasted on any You Tube I tried.
Sounds like GPN made some new fans which is always nice to hear.

btw .. 80 miles is only halfway out of the woods up here so if driving distance to shows is the criteria then I’m a frickin rock ‘n roll queen ! :D

“Weirdest show ever.” might be an understatement . . sounds like it could almost qualify as theater of the absurd
Not an echo of a note or a cough was heard; it was almost eerie how silent the auditorium could become when the crowd was so moved.
a ray of hope for 19yo ability to appreciate music

Wow – that’s a very nice review, good writing and all. I liked these statements:

“The audience needed no cues to interact; clap-a-longs and a dance party in front of the stage ensued out of pure enthusiasm for the music.” [I’ve been to concerts where I’ve thought – if you can’t inspire it, don’t beg for it.]

“Potter even admitted to applying to UMass and not getting in, but all assumed it was for the best because otherwise the band would not exist.” [One of life’s little twists of happenstance.]
