Hot! I’d pay good money to dance on that stage with that band for that song.

I’m hoping for some of this kind of action at the Waterfront this summer.

Hey Dayna- You can bet the farm that Friday night in Burlington will contain a bunch of GPN with the Mule! Will be looking looking forward to dancing right along side of you.

k. cortez : Tell us about Part 1 then . . .

I did . . one is in “couch tour” thread and this is from ” Coachella on the beach” . .

Gold dust Woman made me wish what I always do when I hear Grace’s and Warren’s voices together – please do an EP !

A few of us kept each other awake to see the Preservation Hall Jazz Band set. Grace and Warren brought the blues on “St. James Infirmary”, an absolutely blow-you-away performance . . or as a friend tweeted : Holy crikeys that “St James Infirmary” was smokin’. A blues mini-set sometime when both Mule and GPN are on a bill would be an incredible gift to their fans who love that side of them as well . . doesn’t hurt to dream – right ? (see EP).

I guess I meant specifically on the Preservation Hall performance. I see a bunch of Grace dancing and maybe a little background vocals. Was there more from Grace on this song that we didn’t see here?

Sorry .. there’s a reason I don’t recap – I suck at it.
The clip you posted is of the last part of the song when PHJB took over. Before that Warren and Grace shared the vocals – trading off the verses – there’s more of Warren’s guitar work too. Grace can sing anything, as can Warren, and I love both of them whatever they do, but I have a soft spot for the blues and they can hold their own with the best of them – and did. Would love to have their performance of “St. James Infirmary” tucked away in the vault.

YT has several interpretations of St.James Infirmary Blues . Liked this description for one video – Trad.Jazz meets Delta Blues – but this is what I was after:
