cocachella on the beach

Grace has some nice words for the Hangout Music Festival (this is just a clip, full interview here). Grace sat in with Gov’t Mule for “Gold Dust Woman” and Grace and Warren Haynes sat in with The Preservation Hall Jazz band for “St. James Infirmary”. This I gotta see – iClips should have it archived . . . some day.

Gold dust Woman made me wish what I always do when I hear Grace’s and Warren’s voices together – please do an EP !
A few of us kept each other awake to see the Preservation Hall Jazz Band set. Grace and Warren brought the blues on “St. James Infirmary”, an absolutely blow-you-away performance . . or as a friend tweeted : Holy crikeys that “St James Infirmary” was smokin’. A blues mini-set sometime when both Mule and GPN are on a bill would be an incredible gift to their fans who love that side of them as well . . doesn’t hurt to dream – right ? (see EP).

forgot to add be sure to click on the link at the top of this piece that says
” Hangout Fest’s First Saturday on the Beach ” . . I think they like Grace !! . . including her in a press panel with Warren, Erin Brockovich, and Kathleen Kennedy isn’t too shabby either !

GPN is officially a hit in Lower Alabama. They’re all over the Press-Register this morning. Nice way to enjoy my coffee.
