Could you encompass my 80′s music experience any more neatly? Doubt it. Here Come A Regular. I was having a conversation with a guitar player I know about early 80′s rock. I spoke about X and The Replacements and that musical connection of a live show and, well, here you go.

I heard this by The Replacements recently and liked it enough to jot it down. This version is very nice, too. Just as this was coming though on Twitter, I was attempting to upload this photo (deleting my record day photo in the process because I am such a klutz) http://twitpic.com/1gv5za . Won it at lunch, and would love to share.
The first time I listened to this I ran off to find more of John Doe and ended up delving into X, The Knitters and The Replacements.
Most of the 80s disappeared in a blur of obligations with music limited to my own collection or what fell into my lap; so, for me, bands like this are often as “new” as Lissie.
Listening to more and remembered I’d bookmarked a link to bring back. I found the ‘ liner notes ‘ very interesting. (probably you’ve seen it before KC )

Just an amazing version, I have always loved his versatility and how his voice can go from a growl to sweet and calming, much like a certain blonde we all know and love. My goof friend once got to do a photo shoot of John Doe and still says he is one of the most impresive people he has ever met, and he has met alot of cool ass people in his line of work. Thanks as always for shareing Mojo!
