Grace does a really great ” Nutbush City Limits ” . . not an easy song to cover imho because it’s not just about singing .. there has to be the at-ti-tude for it to work.

when we first heard this song from NOLA May 2008 – we were blown away.
recognized the song, but honestly (and embarraseed to admit, but heck, we’re all friends here), couldn’t put a name to the artist at first.
had to google it – and then, more convinced that this condition known as CRS (can’t remember sh.t) is very present in this head of mine.
anyways – that song IS about “at-ti-tude ” and it takes a whole of of confidence to take a stage in that setting, and pull off that song, the way Grace and Mule did that night. I love playing that show CD, and having someone ask me who that is singing – always makes me smile to tell them.
should be added to the set list now and then, would be a great addition.
