January 26, 2010

Been a long time since the band played Austin – and this is a stellar show to return to.

Don’t forget to watch the last SXSW performance. <-HOT - a post 2AM (that's against the rulz) acoustic only thang.

The Americana Music Association announced today the initial lineup for its annual SXSW showcase, taking place on Thursday March 18, 2010. The event will once again take place at historic Antone’s in Austin and will feature performances by Hayes Carll, Elizabeth Cook, Jim Lauderdale, Grace Potter & the Nocturnals plus a special guest to be named later.

The Americana Showcase at SXSW has become a tradition at the annual Austin music confab and one of the festivals premier and critically acclaimed events taking place in the world famous venue, Antone’s at 213 W5th Street. Featured performances in the past have come from legendary acts like the original Texas Tornados with Dave Alvin and Jimmy Vaughan, Raul Malo, Buddy Miller, James McMurtry, Joe Ely, Hank Williams III, Marcia Ball, as well as launch pads for new artists the Band of Heathens, Amy Lavere, Mike Farris and Ryan Bingham, and many more who have lent their support to the fledgling non profit music association. SXSW badge and wristband holders will have priority admission to the event. For more information on SXSW Festival and Conference Registrations contact www.sxsw.com.
