the bangles : hero takes a fall
First chick band that I thought was great. Listen to those harmonies and that lead guitar sound. Before they “sold out” (which they themselves admit) they had a great thing going. In 1985 I hung out pre and post show with them in a bar in Virginia Beach – still a night to remember. Susanna is still doing it with Matthew Sweet – Rain, Different Drum, Cinnamon Girl, You’re So Vain, Maggie May – check out “Under The Covers”.

Thanks for this link. I hope there was a taper in Boston or New York. The Rams Head show is 72 minutes, not bad for a support act, and thus I am more encouraged to see GPN in Denver.
I noticed there is a link to Brett Dennen’s set at the bottom of the page , so for those curious about Bett Dennen, here is his show at Rams Head Live! taped by the same taper as GPN’s set.

Taper notes say: “Last song of the main set as well as the encore set were not recorded due to battery failure” Too bad, since I assume that would be the best part of his show. Otherwise, as least for me, I plan to call it a night after GPN’s set and let the Deenen fans have my spot up front.
I notice that Dennen’s show has been downloaded 85 times and GPN 240 times.
