This has always seemed backwards to me . . why aren&#039;t songs worked out and then recorded . . wouldn&#039;t that make for better records ? 

Guess I&#039;m going to have to go listen to Stand Up . . I like some of Dave Matthews solo and duet work but am not crazy about DMB so should be an interesting experiment.
