Dennen has toured with John Mayer and completed a headlining tour this year. He’ll launch another trek this fall with Vermont rock band Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, with dates to be announced.
“I’m really excited about this tour because I think it’s going to be a little more rocking than tours I’ve done in the past,” says Dennen. “Before when I’ve taken out openers I’ve had more of a mellow, acoustic evening. But this tour that I’m headlining in the fall, Grace really knows how to rock it.”
Brett’s voice knocks you back a bit when you first hear it – I’ll go on record as a longtime fan. Brett brings a highly spiritual viewpoint to his lyrics and music that’s easy to groove into. Check the view count on this video.

“I’ll go on record as a longtime fan.” ME TOO! Nearly wore out his album in 2006 in VT. He is probably an acquired taste and/or not for everyone.
Tour in Europe???????
Learning about Brett Dennen has definitely been one of the more fun hunts I’ve done in quite a while. His lyrics sometimes border on a short story set to music – imho at least. I can be a hard sell so surprised myself by taking to his unique singing voice very quickly . . reminiscent of hearing Cat Power for the first time.
From what I’ve read / seen so far, BD seems very likable . . not a necessity but always a nice bonus.
Found this of him doing “Make You Crazy ” on CBS just after seeing his shoe store video of the song. Flipped a coin & used the CBS link.

Appears I’m sold on Mr. Dennen . . GPN musical pairing should be interesting for the audiences. Hate to fall back on that poor overworked word but am still wrapping my mind around it.
Sorry to tag post but forgot this blurb from Relix magazine.
Quite a bit of info for such a short piece. Seems like BD and the band should get along very well on a tour.

Does look like it’s Europe on his website doesn’t it, Saygracenow.
Unless his definition of “fall” is something different than ours .. wanna go with that ?
No Europe. If you watch the vid on BB, he says he’s touring with GPN in the US.
TFN – agree, the pairing is a bit interesting, as they say.
And again, no Europe *sigh*
I will have to keep waiting…
for me – this is a very odd pairing for a tour – especially with GPN opening for
Brett. It seems like GPN would rock the place, and his music would be – how should I say it – a bit mellow afterwards…..
Steph .. I did miss him saying US – thanks for pointing it out. I did hear it on a second listen.
So based on that and what’s already on his schedule, any shows with GPN would be Sept to 10/23 and /or after 11/10. Now we can speculate on the “wheres”
I think he defines “Fall” as the month after 11/10…after, all, Fall goes to mid-dec in LA..
True – True …not ’til the Winter Solstice is fall truly over. In VT, winter starts…in….about….NOW. Yup – right about now… You missed fall. That was 5 minutes ago. It was magnificent while it lasted.
P.S. KC – glad to see your sabbatical is over. Hope you’ll still let Spanky post some stuff too.
Here at the edge of the world “Fall” ends when the potatoes are all out of the ground . . Halloween . . or the first snowstorm . . whichever comes first.
Steph . . I really, really want to post that Spanky video I tweeted to TRK . . but then I’d also like to live . . decisions, decisions
Steph you funny, thanks for the laugh
Life is good, but so is laughter. If yer outa the wizard’s reach, I’d go for it. POST AWAY! I think his wrath will be squarely focused on me anyhow.
Spanky the Maniacal Wizard is not amused! I shall bring wrath down upon you…
Or rather, when I get time and a new Orb of Power, mine’s in the shop. You know come to think of it, he’s had it quite awhile, I mean fix it or don’t, just let me know, I got stuff to do. Anyhoo…
WRATH, WRATH I SAY! Bwahahahahahaha!
I think your wrath got lost in the winds aloft.
