“There’s something deeper to this record,” she says. “You can crawl into these songs and live in them. That’s what T Bone does. That’s what he creates. He creates imagery and gorgeous sounds. Our fans are going to hear that. There’s a more controlled, slightly more serious heartbeat.

“We’re a very light-hearted band. There’s always been a kind of sense of humor in what we do. And of course we’ll never lose that, because, you know, I’m a sassy little girl. But I do think there’s a focus, an energy, even a darkness to what he brings to the plate. So you’re going to get a little of that spooky quality on stage.”

Heading out the door in a few, cooler is loaded with the fixin’s for guacamole shrimp wraps with garden greens along with some brews chillin . . .

Came very close to ‘ accidentally’ taking the I95 south ramp instead of north when leaving Portland yesterday – only a few yards diff . . . .

We are leaving now! Coolers packed, and ready to travel the long 53 miles east! Hope we brought enough hydration for the evening!
