Interview on WCAX – Burlington, TV
UPDATE: JamBase interview
Grace laughingly describes the as yet untitled new album, which is slated for a fall release, as “a soul record at its core, like the Velvet Underground backing Aretha Franklin.” Clarifying this improbable set of reference points, she says, “There’s a spirituality — a soulfulness — that’s tapping into the Al Green vibe, but with a youth, a darkness and an edge to it that I wasn’t expecting.”

Awesome … But he needs to learn to shut the hell up and play their answers!
seriously!
i was just going to say that…terrible.
Todd, I know – I like hearing them too . . but it seems to be more news story than interview and he did a pretty good job fitting all that info into such a short clip !
The cuts were a little rough, but he’s obviously a rook.
He’s a really nice guy. He interviewed me at Rock 4 a Cure and I got a major case of diarrhea mouth. Words just came flying out with no rhyme or reason. Words-Words-Words-Talk-Talk-Talk. I was SO nervous. I HATE talking on camera. I never saw the interview, but he assured me it would be cut way down into a tiny snippet. From all accounts that was the case and my diarrhea mouth was at least somewhat camouflaged.
I phoned my mother later that evening and got one of those typical mother gems… “Yeah, it was good. No, it was fine. Yes, it was good. Good job. But…ummm…you were holding your head in that weird way you hold it.” WTF? I hold my head weird? Great! Add that to the list for the therapist .
I’m sure he’s a nice guy. When do We get to see your interview SSteph? 8*) Words words words … You make me thingk of one of my favorite Morning 40 Federation songs Corkscrew … “You got some cocaine I got a straw … Let’s do some cocaine we can talk talk talk talk”
I’ll go before the verbal diarrea starts … I’m just a wee bit excited for tonight
John is Todd right now … btw
I’m just wishing I was with John AND Todd right now . . . sigh . . . June 21 seems very far away.
Considering the razor like precision with which you write, I have a problem believing you had verbal diarrhea. I’m sure you were more eloquent than you thought yourself to be. Now excuse me whilst I wipe off my nose.
LOL, Steph. Once had presentation taped in speech course for later viewing and critiquing by class. Tilted head through entire video, a sign of shyness and insecurity. Working on tilt helped both of those conditions. Acting self-assured is half the battle.
Liked this interview. He did pack a lot into a short space. Grace and Matt looked very nice, and as happy as clams.
Trust me, there was verbal diarrhea. And, according to dear ole ma, a majorly weird head tilt that I “do all the time.” Ha-Ha. Perhaps it is a blessing I’ve never seen the clip. I spend enough money on therapy as it is…;-)
