another grace collaboration

April 8, 2009

Relix is reporting a Grace Potter/Tony Rice collaboration with Assembly of Dust on their next record “Some Assembly Required”

You’d have to reach back a long way to find Grace performing with AOD. Of course, we did. Hmm, the audio link to “Angel From Montgomery” is broken. I”ll try to find it but in the meantime the original is at archive.org.

Hey Darius D. – that’s your fourth post so far. Here’s what you have to say

“It’s a shame this blog doesn’t tolerate criticism, otherwise I’d say that I’m tired of the same GPN shit over and over. It’s time for some new stuff already.” – RealMcCoy

“All I know is let’s hear some new f’n music. Now!!!” – Craig C.

and I think another unpleasant one but I’m not sure. I’m happy to allow your comments I just wish you’d use the same name on them.

I feel like Grace really rocked doing “Whole Lotta Love” and I would love to hear her rock that style and have the she and the boys really incorporate some jamming…they are good at it when they let loose….and damn they let loose! I’m getting chills just thinking about it. So this is a hint for more music guys. I feel like some of the new stuff is too poppy ( not all of course ) and honestly the band is so above that washed out stuff. The blusey-rockn’roll roots are soulful and never tired. I can’t wait till Rothbury this summer, where I’ll be turning 21 in the presence of my idols! Here’s to the meantime!
