Phantastic show….Such a cool experience to hear these songs stripped down. Could really hon in on Tweedy’s brilliant lyricism. If u haven’t already, check out the new/old Death (don’t call it a reissue!) record. It is incindiary…incendiary…insin….you get the ideer.

Does Grace make an appearance at this show? I’m not sure I understand the connection. Thanks.

Sadly, I am flac challenged. This might provide the needed motivation, however. Thanks, kc.

shark: Jeff Tweedy was asking the crowd for names of area bands and then substituting them into the lyrics of the song he was singing — “Playing [Grace Potter] lyrics, beautiful and stoned.”

Very happy to see the download link .
Karen, you’re not alone I would prefer a nice simple archive.org VBR zip file too . . I find a mix of wine & whine helps ;)

Thanks for commiserating, toofar. Add my whine to the mix (got no wine). There’s strength in numbers, right?

Thanks for the info regarding Grace in the lyrics.

You need 2, maybe 3 programs to download from torrent sites and either listen to the flac files, or burn them to CD.

1. Bit Torrent client (I use Bit Tornado – small, simple, and free)
2. FLAC front end – coverts flac files to wav files.
3. foobar2000 – plays flac files without having to convert first

Good luck!

Thanks shark . . my whine is I just don’t like the bother. Don’t find a significant difference with the VBR mp3 sound and it’s simple . . can download and play or burn with your regular media program.

Karen . . there is a lot of info here
http://flac.sourceforge.net/documentation_tasks.html
I haven’t tried it myself but was told a program named Roxio can burn a CD directly from the flac file.

Sorry for all the off-topic K.C. . . . returning your thread to it’s regularly scheduled programing now.
