Vermont rocktress Grace Potter is back with her Nocturnals to release their third LP album, Grace Potter & The Nocturnals.
the bangles : hero takes a fall
First chick band that I thought was great. Listen to those harmonies and that lead guitar sound. Before they “sold out” (which they themselves admit) they had a great thing going. In 1985 I hung out pre and post show with them in a bar in Virginia Beach – still a night to remember. Susanna is still doing it with Matthew Sweet – Rain, Different Drum, Cinnamon Girl, You’re So Vain, Maggie May – check out “Under The Covers”.
zooey for the win

enjoyed the video! However, there is fantatic BASS player in the band..his name is Bryan, and he deserves more video time…quite fun to watch along with Matt, Scott and Grace!! GIVE BRYAN SOME LOVE!!
PBS is one of my faves..saw them at Wakarusa and they are incredible!
I’ll take the wind they were suffering over what we’re suffering any day.
Oh and, Bryan is an ass kicking machine, I agree.
Seems like bass players are generally underappreciated . . . maybe partly because a lot of people don’t realize how important they are to the sound . . or because they usually aren’t spotlighted. Has been so fun to see Bryan’s stage personality emerging and he is a fantastic bassist . Now about some solo time . . . . .
