Just after the B3 meltdown

After Erykah, I set out for a bit of Grace Potter & the Nocturnals. Their set was smokin’ – literally. Potter’s keyboard were actually smoking. Their set had been apparently riddled with tech issues, but that didn’t stop them from cranking out some of the meanest blues jams I’ve heard in a while. Busted amps and blown keyboards – nothing could slow them down. Each mishap seemed to add fuel to their fire. Their set was pure festival lore – raw, raucous, sexy, and dangerous – easily the best of the day.

“Their set was pure festival lore ….
Love that – and can’t wait to see how the story grows with the telling !
Looks like the surge may have been a bit of serendipity
Now if we could just find a way to see the whole thing!
Indeed … Here’s hoping Iclips archives it! Was an epic set in the face of all that trouble … Let’s grow the story with the telling 8*)
So there they were, lighting was crashing down from the heavens, Satan himself was determined to stop the rock. His army of imps brought hellfire and brimstone upon Scott and Grace’s amp, but that would not stop the rock. Evil destroyed Grace’s weapon of choice, the B3. As it smoldered in ruination, the hand of God and reached down and touched their hearts, causing this band of road warriors to bring forth glorious rock’n blues.
Seriously, y’all. This is true. I was there working as a stagehand, and this ranks up there at the top in both the craziest shit I’ve ever seen & the best set I’ve ever witnessed categories. The B3 caught fire… literally… and she never missed a beat. Unbelievable. This lady is going places, for sure, and hopefully they have fire extinguishers standing by when she arrives .
