i can haz tour buz

by k. cortez on October 22, 2008

From GracePotter.com

Since this tour will take us so far from home, we will be bringing our home with us. How, you ask? By joining forces with our favorite cheese company, Cabot, of course! After our memorable night at FarmAid, we got the notion to unite with a company that supports family farms…(they also just happen to make killer good cheese!) Click here for more info on Cabot’s site.

The fine folks at Cabot sent me this.

As we’ve been “long distance” fans of GPN for years, we’re so excited to be working with them. Cabot is a cooperative located in Vermont and owned by dairy farmers throughout New England and New York. Grace grew up with dairy farms all around her! We’re always pleased to work with fellow Vermonters, especially ones as talented as Grace. We are excited for her and the success that she and her band have achieved and we are happy to support them on their Fall tour.

A partnership between Grace Potter and the Nocturnals and Cabot Creamery is a perfect fit and just goes to show you, great things come from Vermont!

Lest you think this is a “manufactured” relationship I can tell you this. I’ve been backstage at GPN shows a few times and there is always a rider specified block of Cabot Cheddar cheese available for the band.

Your photographer for these shots is also a pretty good drummer.

Awesome looking bus – love the tag line from the farmers and the photos from my favorite drummer!

I agree with Steve: That bus looks sharp!!
It’s Cabot cheese from now on for this old man. Thanks so much for giving the best band in the world a helping hand.

Great pics – Prevost is THE premier coach to travel in – thanks to Cabot Cheese.
btw, I sent Cabot a thank you for sponsoring the tour, they in turn sent me a nice envelope with coupons and Cabot info.
Looks like we should be able to find Cabot cheese in our local Trader Joes – we’ll be shopping there this weekend.
thanks Cabot!

Beautifully designed paint job – the guitar, the rolling hills, the tag line, all of it. That bus says class act on board !
Thanks for the pix Matt & KC.
Cabot just became my favorite cheese – - in New England Hannaford stores carry the Cabot line and have recipes featuring their products.
Can even haz cheesburger . . . . .

I’ve got a strange urge to eat cheese. Weird.

Totally cool. And I’m willing to bet it runs on an environmentally friendly fuel. Probably milk. ;-) If so, ya’ll need to tour down here to southeastern New Mexico — Dairy Capitol of the Southwest!

My relatives brought me back a pound brick of Cabot White sharp cheddar last year. Good shit. The famed Vermont syrup wasn’t that great though.

Is Mr. Columbus really posting in here? You gotta love that!

Nice bus! I will be on the lookout when it rolls into DC in december. I love cabot cheese, always have. Here in maryland they sell it at all major grocery stores, so I have been buying it for a long time. It is actually relativly inexpensive, for being so good. Cheese and GPN…I dont think that it can get much better.

Really Nice..
I might be pickin nits here, but can we request the photog turn his camera sideways and get a landscape shot of the whole side of the bus so we can see a complete Flying V?? Or is this just a clever and devious plot to get me to come see it in person…. :-)

14 Bill October 23, 2008 at 8:51 pm

Ha. I just now noticed the flying V. I was fixed on the cheese I guess. God damn you Cabot.

Best bus they have had, for sure. Prevost is an excellent product. As for Cabot, its always been my cheese of choice…….real good stuff. This bus sure beats the hell out of a Penski rental truck and 15 passenger van!!! Enjoy the ride guys (and girl!!)

I hope this makes it to Burlington in December so we can get a Posse pic with this baby!!

Bill I would say your relatives must of picked a lower cooking grade of syrup because any that I have had is fantastic stuff and I’ve had a lot.

There is suppose to be free samples of cheese at the shows also.
