Vermont rocktress Grace Potter is back with her Nocturnals to release their third LP album, Grace Potter & The Nocturnals.
the bangles : hero takes a fall
First chick band that I thought was great. Listen to those harmonies and that lead guitar sound. Before they “sold out” (which they themselves admit) they had a great thing going. In 1985 I hung out pre and post show with them in a bar in Virginia Beach – still a night to remember. Susanna is still doing it with Matthew Sweet – Rain, Different Drum, Cinnamon Girl, You’re So Vain, Maggie May – check out “Under The Covers”.
zooey for the win
“She & Him” video premier of “In The Sun” – Zooey hula hoops! Stick a fork in me.
lissie : little lovin'
Lissie is one of my favorite new voices.

This show was kick ass. Thanks for getting it up.
Oh btw Asheville is in North Carolina, the jam had special guest Barack Obama(cut out) playing the keytar.
Just listening to Theramin blues here – and I guess it’s time to send a thank you to Aya for buying just one more of Bryan’s toys that amuse us so!
Guess a Ryan Adams/Grace Potter collaboration isn’t going to happen then?
Cover/Cover finish. Interesting.
Was fascinated watching Bryan playing with the theramin after the NoHo show. Did a little hunting for info – discovered it was invented in 1919 as an attempt to make an improved radio and has a really interesting musical history. Also stumbled over this and given the “Thermin Blues” appearance in the set it’s just too fun to not share it http://www.thereminworld.com/news.asp?s=764
btw: it’s very easy to fall in love with Asheville and there is something special about the Orange Peel, ragged though it may be
