Loved those Big White Gate and Grandma stories! I hope they get to rely on their own opinions and instincts more w/the next album. Viva the 5 minute and longer song!

brilliant stuff!! I loved the part about Billy Preston, it gave me chills. I am A HUGE BP FAN…I miss him terribly. I have no doubt he was there in that studio with the Nocs.

That does it. Grace is getting no more lyrics from me. LOL

“This is our story.” Just loved when she said that. It really is all about the four of them.

Mastermind pretty much sums up the band. Wise words.

It is always fascinating to listen to an artist talk about their creative process, especially one so open. The stories of the inspiration she pulls from her life and others around her are enlightening. I found the part where she says that “Big White Gate,” may be about her own life interesting. I believe we have only begun to scratch the surface of this talented woman.

Great interview, thanks for digging this one up. For the recored, that 930 tickets turned into a sold out show that night @ 9:30 club! What a great night that was. I loved hearing about Grace’s time at Phish shows. I was at a few of the ones that she had mentioned. One thing I love about Phish is that they did all those fun artsy projects, and to think it was the Potter family behind it all. Cool! Grace and I are about the same age, and I think about how badly at the time I wanted to run away with my big bro when he went to Big Cypress. Perhaps if my parents were Phish heads too then I would have been able to pull it off like Grace did! Good times….and as it turns out, there are more to come. I wonder if Grace and the nocs will be at Hampton this March? I am trying to get tickets, so Grace, if you could get me on the list??
