From the Burlington Free Press – GPN appears at a frequent concert location.
Scott Tournet of Grace Potter and the Nocturnals came on to play harmonica as the party stretched into Wednesday morning. The balloons that had been hanging in a giant net over the crowd all night were finally set free a little before 1 a.m., which seemed to signal to most folks that it was time to split.
The emptying floor revealed piles of deflated balloons, cups without beer and beer without cups. The party wasn’t over, though, as Tournet and Yacovone engaged in a sizzling guitar duel on a Derek and the Dominos cover. Tournet’s band mates Grace Potter and drummer Matt Burr came on stage a few minutes later, and Potter’s howling vocals led the group through a killer psychedelic version of Neil Young’s “Cortez the Killer.”

Damn . . . that sounds like some party I missed!
Nice Grab, EMJM !
The Free Press article was cool…thanks for including the link. My first Higher Ground show at the “old” venue was Susan Tedeschi, opened by Robert Randolph…7/10/2001
Between the new Magic Hat flavor (10th Anniversary Ale), the free poster, and all the friendly folks getting together to jam, it was quite a night. Gracie stole the show, of course…
A new Magic Hat Flavor! Damn, I really missed it then didn’t I?
I never thought Magic Hat would invent a beer that could compete with Long Trail Ale, but they’ve actually done it!
