earvolution sun studio sessions

by k. cortez on March 31, 2008

From the Earvolution website . . .

It’s no secret that Grace Potter and the Nocturnals are one of Earvolution’s favorite bands. So, it was a great personal thrill for the band to agree to appear as the first act to tape a performance for the Sun Studio Sessions, a project I’ve been working on for the past few months.

The Sun Studios Blog has lots of additional great information.

Get an inside look at Grace Potter and the Nocturnals working out some parts for the song and then performing “Mystery Train”, which was first recorded in this very room back in 1953 by “Little” Junior Parker.

Bigger version here.

This is some good shit. Elvis has not left the building - he’s right there!

This is just so cool - I love the expression on Scott’s face as he comprehends where this awesome band is putting their footprint - just as some legendary others have done before them.

ROCK ON
