Via the magic of the internets we get this report from the amoeba show . . .
Yesterday, I heard that GP would be performing at Amoeba Records, an independent record store in Hollywood, and I went there to check them out. They did a 30-minute set and I was really impressed. Hot vocals and a magnetic stage presence from GP and great energy, not to mention tight-playing, from the band. Loved the show and am really looking forward to seeing them again on Tuesday.
At a “meet and greet” afterwards, they autographed my cd and we chatted for a few minutes. They couldn’t have been nicer. I mentioned that I heard about them on BTX and credited you guys for turning me on to their music. They seemed pleasantly surprised and were really psyched about the attention they receive here. Grace told me to thank you guys for spreading the good word, so that’s what I’m here to do: Thank you from GP and the Nocturnals and thank you (from me) for the excellent recommendation.
(by “the magic of the internets” i mean that i was checking my referrer logs and noticed links coming in from that site. if the phrase “checking my referrer logs” makes your eyes glaze over, well, just think “magic”)
