grace potter and gov’t mule cover selection

by k. cortez on January 5, 2008

Touring with a band like Gov’t Mule over the past few month has clearly been fun for Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. The Mule’s have called on Grace to help them out with numerous cover songs on the tour. Below are some of the best along with some background on the originals.

Gold Dust Woman

This one was unexpected for sure but really, really nice. Below is a haunting live version of the original done when Stevie Nicks was clearly at the top of her game in the stage presence department.

Fleetwood Mac from 1977

Take Me To The River

The classic tune done so well by so many from Al Green to the Talking Heads.
